Draft Minutes of Sept. PTO Meeting (Next Meeting Oct. 17)
Draft minutes of the September PTO meeting are attached (the assessment “cheat sheet” discussed in the minutes is also attached separately). Thank you to everyone who joined us for an energetic discussion to kick off the school year! Our next meeting will be Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Ed Smith library.
Ski and Snowboard Club: Sign Up by Oct. 15
Please see the attached flyer for information about Ski and Snowboard Club. Email Ms. Park (jpark@scsd.us) by Oct. 15 if your child will participate.
Picture Days on Oct. 16 and 17
Picture Days are coming on Wednesday, Oct. 16, and Thursday, Oct. 17! Your child’s teacher will tell you which day they will be photographed. You can place your order on mylifetouch.com using your Picture Day ID: EVTFXN9JG. Your child can also bring their completed flyer with cash or check on Picture Day. We will also need parent volunteers to help make Picture Day run smoothly. Stay tuned–a volunteer sign-up list will be coming soon!
Harvest Dance on Nov. 1
The middle school Harvest Dance will take place on Friday, Nov. 1, from 1:30 p.m. to dismissal. This will be open to 6-8 graders in the gym with music and snacks. Families can sign up online to donate food for the dance.
Talent Show on Nov. 21
The Ed Smith Talent Show is on Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Please see the attached flyer for more information. If your child is interested in performing, please sign up online or ask their teacher for a paper copy. The sign-up deadline is Oct. 17. If your child does not want to perform, come and enjoy the show! If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Lucy Bisset by email at (Lbisset@scsd.us).
